These are South African documentaries with visual arts and performing arts storyline (Please see the Filmographies attached). Visual and Performing artists biographies is a popular theme in the movie world/ film industry. Filmmakers have always been fascinated by artists’ biographies, especially if it includes struggle with insanity, drug addiction or social conventions. In addition, it gives them an opportunity to depict original or resurrected artworks on the big screen.

State of Mind Exhibition


State of Mind Exhibition: 30th November 2009 – 11th December. Opening on the 30th November 2009, 18h00 – 22h00

This is a performing and visual arts opening where a performer recites/sings while the visual/fine artist is painting the words, feeling and/or their interpretation of what the performing artists is conveying to the audience. Please see the Artists Biographies attached.
