On Saturday, 5 September, from 9h00 to 12h00 Nanette Ranger, the established Paarl artist, will be giving a demonstration and practical on clay. Her work formed part of the Cultivaria exhibition at KWV last year and is on permanent exhibition at the Dwars-in-die-Weg, Paarl. If there is enough interest we would like to begin a workshop. The fee is R30 for members and R50 for non-members. 

The annual group exhibition of the Drakenstein Art Society will take place from the 15 to 25 September. The opening evening forms part of the 70^th anniversary celebrations of Breyten Breytenbach and the festivities are sure to bring many visitors. All media is welcome and the entrance fee is one bottle of wine or fruitjuice and a plate of eats. Please visit our website for more information.

We are having our fun post card competition again and the theme is “2010”.  Yes, I know it’s a cliche but it is relevant and it is going to impact on all of us whether we like soccer or not.  Let’s have fun and pull out all the stops – three prizes for the most original creative 2010 post cards!
