We are presenting a 3 day Intro to Cinematography Course on 26, 27 & 28 February (Cape Town). This course covers Camera, Lighting and Sound and is an excellent course for young directors who want to gain more skills in the technical department.

The film school now offers part-time filmmaking and acting courses in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Students can choose from a menu of part-time courses (see Filmmaking Courses page) or they can choose to register for our Full Filmmaking Program, which runs over 6 months. For foreign students or students from out of town, we can arrange suitable and affordable accommodation close to our course venues.

The film school is privately owned and managed by independent filmmaker, Amour Setter, who has produced and directed dozens of local productions including TV commercials, Music Videos, TV dramas, documentaries and TV Commercials for the foreign market. Amour has been involved in the film industry since 1991.

The part-time courses are all hands-on, practical and encourage the aspiring filmmaker to become deeply involved in the process of filmmaking. The guerrilla-style approach of the courses ensure that the students graduate with a strong foundation in the craft of filmmaking. Each writer/director is given total creative license and becomes an "Auteur" filmmaker in that he/she is the author of the work and encouraged to project his/her own style into the film.
