The Abazobi project is a joint project between the Robben Island Museum and the Norwegian organization Stiftelsen Arkivet. In South Africa, the project is targeted to young artists from disadvantaged communities.

public sculpture competition/three anchor bay sea point
Artists are invited to conceptualise ideas for a public work considering the site of Three Anchor Bay, Sea Point for the proposed work. All interested artists are requested to send through a portfolio of 10 works, a CV with two contactable references and an initial proposal for the sculpture by 17th July 2009. A shortlist will then be drawn up and the selected artists asked to submit detailed proposals, including maquettes, and a budget, for an agreed fee, by 31st July 2009.The final decision would be made on the strength of these submissions.
